South Axholme Academy continues to make their mark as a top 6th Form provider.
It’s been another “A”mazing set of results at South Axholme Academy with the academy’s third set of Post 16 A level and Level 3 results for the Isle. South Axholme Academy’s 6th Form celebrated in style once again this August. Having secured a place in the top 10% of sixth form providers for value added for the past two years 2019 results were cause for another celebration. An incredible 69% of exam entries secured the top A*/B grades outperforming all other local providers. This incredible performance of students clearly reflects the high quality teaching and guidance that SAX Sixth Form provides for its students on a daily basis.
Such achievement over the past three years alongside highly personalised 1:1 tutoring for the UCAS application process has enabled our students to enter prestigious and highly competitive university courses such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary and law at top Russell group universities including Durham.
Scott Barlow, Principal of the academy said “We are absolutely ecstatic with the A level and Level 3 results. To secure such a high percentage of A*/B and to have a 100% pass rate is an exceptional feat. We continue to be confident that our fantastic students and dedicated staff will continue to build upon this success. Finally, our significantly increased intake to Year 12 has exceeded all expectations.”

When asked about the success of post 16 study at the academy, Paul Barratt, Chair of Directors of Isle Education Trust said “South Axholme is a traditional 6th form setting, with small classes and staff who really know their students. This sort of provision isn’t replicated anywhere locally and the personal approach along with highly favourable group sizes is a clear recipe for success. We firmly believe that South Axholme 6th Form should be the number one choice for post 16 study in the area.”
Congratulations to all our 6th form students for another set of a truly amazing set of results!
